Non-subsidized 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders now cost Rs 913 in Delhi, up from Rs 853, with similar rises in other cities like Mumbai at Rs 912.50 and Kolkata at Rs 939. The change stems from surging global energy costs due to the US-Israel conflict with Iran, which has disrupted supplies and pushed up Brent crude prices past $80 a barrel. Commercial cylinders jumped Rs 115, while subsidized Ujjwala users pay fixed lower rates; petrol and diesel prices stay unchanged for now.

Delhi: The price has risen from ₹853 to 913.
Mumbai: The new rate is 912.50.
Kolkata: The price has reached 939.

Reasons behind this sudden price hike:

Global Conflict: The primary trigger is the US-Israel conflict with Iran, which has created significant tension in major oil-producing regions.
Supply Chain Disruptions: These geopolitical tensions have directly disrupted global energy supplies, making it harder and more expensive to move fuel.
Crude Oil Surge: Because of these disruptions, Brent crude oil prices have climbed past $80 a barrel, forcing domestic prices to move upward.
Surging Energy Costs: Overall, the change stems from surging global energy costs that are affecting markets worldwide.
